Icelandic musicians

Iceland´s music scene has since the 1930s been characterised by a a scope and scale of creativity seldom found in a population so small, a mere 330.000 souls living on an island in the North Atlantic Ocean. I spent time inside the sphere, or halo, of some of those musicians, as they played, performed, practiced, toured and recorded at the start of the 21.century. For the moments and music they shared with me, I am forever grateful to Daníel Ágúst Haraldsson, Indigo, Tenderfoot, Leaves and Moody Company.

In loving memory of Siggi Ármann and Helgi Georgsson.
